Welder / Fabricator
Full time. Based in Prescott, Arizona, with field work across Northern Arizona. Up to $35 per hour, depending on experience.
About the Role
Granite Mountain MetalWorks is hiring a welder. We are AWS certified, licensed and bonded under ROC #350729, and we work for builders, contractors, and municipalities across Arizona.
The work covers a wide range: certified structural welding, engineered steel connections built to AISC standards, custom brackets and weldments, gates and railings, equipment and trailer repair, and functional art. We use 3D laser scanning and CAD modeling to lay out tight-fit work before anything gets cut, and our structural welds are inspected by certified weld inspectors.
AWS certifications are a plus but not a requirement. If you can weld and you are willing to test, we want to hear from you.
The Work
- Reading shop drawings and weld symbols
- Layout and fitting
- Cutting, grinding, and finishing
- Stick, MIG, and TIG welding across multiple positions
Requirements
- Able to pass a weld test
- Valid driver's license
- AWS certifications a plus, not a requirement
